How many of us Large people have gone to a park, beach, shoot anywhere. And realize we don't have a place to sit. Our slimmer, small counter parts open up little seats that seem to fit in there back pockets and basically look like a washcloth on sticks. Other's better yet have nice comfy chairs that fold open. Mean while we wonder why we don't have a chair. If big people are so lazy as some think. You would think we would be the best market for a portable chair. We sit more, we need it more, we would use it more. Then buying more of them when they have been worn out or broken. Well the market seems to have forgot us. But one man hasn't.

Jim Hackworth has remember the bigger person with his MaxxDaddy line of chairs that can take up to 1,000 lbs. He has been working on this chair for 13 years. It is portable and amazingly not as heavy as I thought it would be. It is 20lbs about as heavy as a bag of rice. That is incredible especially when you think that this 20lb chair can hold a 1,000 lbs of weight. Fold it up and put it in your car truck so you have it anytime.

What is even better is Jim's dedication to giving the Larger person a product that they are happy with. He loves comments and thoughts from his consumers. If a chair breaks it is replaced. He is really a great person from what I have experienced and his lovely wife Adell is a great support to him.

Many of us complain that the seating sucks for us at certain places we want to go. If we can all have a MaxxDaddy Chair we could go anywhere and always have a seat we would be happy with. All I can say is give Jim and his MaxxDaddy Chair a try.

Traveling is especially difficult, so I looked around for a chair that could support my butt and weight comfortably, not really thinking I'd find anything that would suit my purposes. When I found a chair I loved so much I bought three of them! (These chairs are tested to hold up to 1000 pounds, and are the strongest folding chairs in the world.) LargeInCharge.com: Where are you from and what is your current Location?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We are from Kingsport Tennessee. Located in east Tennessee.

LargeInCharge.com: Do you consider yourself a Person of Size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: I am definitely considered larger than average according to Insurance industry standards. I pay the difference too.

LargeInCharge.com: Who is the owner of your company?

Jim Has: Jim and Adell Hackworth. We created the company 13 years ago.ckworth of Koolest Product.

LargeInCharge.com: Tell us about your company?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We started 13 years ago and slowly came to the realization that people needed stronger and higher quality chairs. You can find cheap versions in almost any store.

LargeInCharge.com: How did your company begin?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We started out selling high quality chairs in a bag which were actually made in the USA. When they started importing from China we started importing from China.

LargeInCharge.com: How did your company get its name?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We kept hearing from customers, “ wow those are cool chairs” or you sell the coolest chairs. Henceforth, Koolest Products.

LargeInCharge.com: Does your company have a motto or slogan; and what does it mean?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Our motto is Maxxdaddy the Strongest Folding Chair on the Planet.

LargeInCharge.com: How long have you been in business?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We have evolved over 13 years to become a company that basically caters to 2 kinds of people. Those who want absolute quality and those who are considered plus sized.

LargeInCharge.com: Tell us about your products for people of size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We have one type of product for people of size. Maxxdaddy Chairs. We have evolved through a lot of trials and errors. No one has ever tried to manufacture this type of chair before. We have encountered many problems on our way to make a perfect and safe chair for everyone at every size. We will have a perfect chair by 2006. Make no mistake no one will be able to come close to our quality or strength.

LargeInCharge.com: What made you decide to make this/these products?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: I had gotten to the point 2 years ago to get out of the chair market. I was burned out. I wanted something new. We all want the same things in life, food, water, shelter, comfort, and then when your satisfied you think about the Higher Power. Well I had to make a living for my family. I knew chairs. I got lucky. I was blessed. I had an epiphany. I woke up and said to myself., “wait a minute, why recreate a new wheel, just make the one you have even better”. Maxxdaddy was created.

LargeInCharge.com: Who designed the item/items?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: I will take total credit for the design and creation of Maxxdaddy. My wife Adell came up with the name, thank goodness for that. It is a great name. I will stay ahead of all competitors for one reason. I care. My passion is to make the very best. Not the second best. No other company is even close. I will not let anyone beat me at the game of quality or customer service. Those 2 ideals are forgotten in America today. The circle is turning and the idea of throwaway items is almost over. Superstores can easily be outsold on a small scale using these 2 ideas as your basic sales spearhead. Who can argue with this?

LargeInCharge.com: Are you currently looking for other products for people of size to add to your company?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Yes we are. The term we will use to upgrade products that are needed for people who are unable to use products that are for smaller people will be called, “Let Us Maxxdaddyize your product.”

LargeInCharge.com: What is the size, weight, dimension, weight limit of your product?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Our chairs are 20 pounds. They are not lightweight. The seat is 25 X 25 , and the seat height is 17 inches on the Maxxdaddy Mighty Maxx, and the seat height for the Goliath is 19 inches.

LargeInCharge.com: Does you company affiliate with any distribution companies?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: So far no. Many have asked to sell our products but we are not sure we need them.

LargeInCharge.com: Do you have a website and a hardcopy catalog?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Our website is www.koolestproducts.com and www.maxxdaddy.com. We do not have a hardcopy catalog. We will stay with the internet and eventually head in some other directions when we are ready.

LargeInCharge.com: How do we obtain a hard copy catalog?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Please use the internet. That is our target area for sales. We must stay focused on small areas for marketing.

LargeInCharge.com: Tell us about any up & coming products for people of size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We have some new versions on the drawing board for next year. Don’t worry time will take care of everyone's wishes as soon as possible. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions. I listen to my customers. This is what I do.

LargeInCharge.com: Has your item/items ever been showcased on Television or in Print?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: No we will be ready for anything next year. I have learned that your product should be as close as possible to perfect before you go nationwide.

LargeInCharge.com: What are the ordering options that customers have?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Mastercard, Visa, overnight delivery, we ship within 24 hours.

LargeInCharge.com: How long does it take for a purchase to be received?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We ship in 1 business day. No problem. If you need special attention please call us at 423-323-9177

LargeInCharge.com: What are your refund options if an item is not satisfactory for a person of size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: If you don’t like your chair return it for a full refund. Shipping and Handling goes to UPS. Sorry.

LargeInCharge.com: What is the warrantee on your product?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: We have a lifetime warranty on plastic and metal components. Fabric is warranted for 1 year, and can easily be replaced.

LargeInCharge.com: Name some companies you admire?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: There is one company I really respect and admire. GCI Outdoor makes the most innovative and high quality designs I have ever seen. Unfortunately for us bigger guys and gals their chairs are for lightweight people.

LargeInCharge.com: What are the most important elements to creating a product for people of size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: ...quality; comfort...what is important/ what is not? The most important element is Care. You must care for what you create and market. Failure takes place when you no longer pay attention to something you love or care for, especially when you say the opposite.

LargeInCharge.com: Do you feel more companies will start catering to people of size?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: I would think so. However companies today have serious management problems. Instead of listening to what your business is telling you to do, too many managers are trying to make their companies go into places they don’t belong. For example: I have had 10s of thousands of people tell me they wanted a bigger stronger chair. That is called listening to what your business tells you.

LargeInCharge.com: Would you say the reaction from the Plus Sized community has been positive?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: Absolutely. I have had so many people send emails about how finally someone has cared enough to make a chair for them. We have also had some people who were upset that the chair did not hold up the way we said it would. This was because our manufacturer did not do his job. We always won over our upset customer by replacing or refunding the full amount. However the way we usually made them happy was to explain our situation about our problems with manufacturing.   In other words we communicated with our customer. You would not believe how people respond to a “human” voice on the phone. Not a computer or a person who is just going through the motions of customer service.

LargeInCharge.com: How has the internet helped your business?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: It has allowed me to reach a specific portion of people who need a specific product. I don’t like to shop myself, so I understand shopping by internet.   Stores don’t care about people. They have little sales people with attitudes. Bad Attitudes. I will fire you for a bad attitude. Stores and chains have a hard enough time just getting bodies to fill their sales teams. Let alone getting good people, who are over 18. With the internet I get to bypass all of that.

LargeInCharge.com: What can the readers at LargeInCharge do to help support your business?

Jim Hackworth of Koolest Products: The biggest thing we need from our customer base is forgiveness. We make mistakes. No one has ever even attempted to manufacture this type of chair. We have chairs that break once in a while. We now have a 100 % inspection of all chairs before they ship. If a customer has a problem we will do whatever it takes to make them HAPPY. We believe we should do whatever it takes to stand behind our product.

Judging the BBW Philly Pageant

     Being a Judge at the BBW Pageant in Philly was a nice experience. I liked the set up and the room. It seemed like a very family and community orientated event. In between the beautiful ladies showcasing themselves in the pageant. There were performances by local dancers. Both Spiritual and street style. There were a few singers who brought interesting character to the event. They brought it to us Church Style, took it back in time, and made think about love.

     Even when things didn't go right at the pageant, Mr. Wilkes kept us laughing as he told them off with loving kindness. One thing I can say is that the contestants and former Queens are givin a lot of respect and admiration. New Crowns were issued this year and all former Queen were adorned with one. Mr. Wilkes spoke about his Queens as though they were his family, I believed they are.

     This year was the first year in which contestants from all over were allowed to enter.   Formerly only Philadelphia residents could enter. Now they want a greater diversity of ladies to enter.   So for the first time contestants from other states graced the stage. They were beautiful, talented and graceful examples of everyday women. They are extraordinary in the fact that they are just women. Regular women who have dreams and aspirations. They have the guts to stand on stage and say. I am Big, Beautiful and Worthy, BBW. It was more than you can imagine.

     I would be more than happy to judge the pageant again and I encourage more women from all backgrounds and locations to enter and have a good time. Bring your friends to cheer for you and make it not only a day in which you stand up and say I am beautiful. But a girls weekend in which you cherish each other and the beauty of each other.

Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: My name Is Mike Liedka and I am president of Barkel Inc the company that produces the Wide Bodies furniture line. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Does your company have a slogan? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: I don't know if this is a slogan or not but our product is designed with form following function. We do make luxury seating for big beautiful people. If you are a person of size Wide Bodies furniture will change your life. It will give you back your independence. You will be able to come and go from your couch without any help getting in or out of it. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Where is your company based? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our factory is located in a town called New Braunfels, TX about 25 miles north of San Antonio, TX on IH 35 N. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Tell us about your facility? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our company currently has approximately 65 people working with us. Our facility is 120,000 sq ft. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: How did you get into the furniture business? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: I have been in the furniture industry since 1964. My father-in-law founded the firm in 1949. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Are you a person of size? And if so have you been Big all your life? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Yes - I am large sized. I am 6'5" tall and weigh about 380 lbs. I have not been big all my life. I went in to the army in 1961 at 149 lbs. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Have you ever attended any of the BBW/BHM Events? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Yes- my wife and I have been to 3 people of size events. We went to our first event 2 years ago at the Big AS TExas event in Corpus Christy TX. We also went to bash sponsored by the BBW Network in Las Vegas last summer. We also attended the Austin, Texas BBW Bash last labor day. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: How long has your site been active? And do you get a lot of positive feedback? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our site has been up and running since October 2003. We do get a lot of positive feed back from our site. I am the only one who takes WB calls and I average about 20 emails and 4-6 phone call per week. We have a counter on our site that has been there only about 13 months. The last I looked it was around 8900 hits. It is pretty remarkable since we are not signed up to search engines that will bring people to our site. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Who came up with the name Wide Bodies? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: My wife Loretta came up the name Wide Bodies. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Tell us more about your company? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our company is a primary resource for large furniture chains such as Levitz and Seaman's. We make furniture for standard size clientele. We sell only upholstered furniture. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Does your company personally manufacture the furniture? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: We do make all of the furniture that we sell ourselves. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Does your company make size furniture only or do you also make standard sizes? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: The WideBodies line is currently a secondary product that we manufacture. We are starting to put an additional effort in selling the WB product. We feel that this will be a major part of our business within the next 2 years. In a sense you could say that we specialize in plus size furniture since I am not aware of any other companies making this type furniture. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: What makes your products better than the rest? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our furniture is better than the competition because we pay total attention to the personal needs of each plus sized person who orders furniture from us. Each piece is custom manufactured to the specs of each individual customer. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Do you deliver? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our delivery service is second to none. We currently charge only Jay of LargeInCharge.com: 99 to deliver each WB piece any where in the continental US. I am afraid however, with the recent increases in fuel that our deliver charge will have to go up soon. Our service will deliver one's furniture as high as 2 stories, place the furniture in the customer’s room of choice and remove the packing materials and haul them off. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Are your prices reasonable? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our pricing is well below what a retail store would charge. That is why we sell WB only on the internet. We have attempted to make WB affordable to everyone. One thing to consider is that in buying a standard piece of upholstery furniture a plus sized person may have to replace it every 2 or 3 years. A WB piece is designed to last structurally for many many years. I don't know how many because we have only been making the current product for 3 years. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Does your furniture come with a guarantee or warranty? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: We do guarantee the frame and structure for the life of the original purchaser. I would suspect that 25 years of wear will easily obtained on all components of a WB piece other than the fabric. Instead of having to buy new furniture every 2-3 years one can use that money to buy something else. Our product comes with a terrific warranty. It is listed on our web site and very detailed. We warrant our furniture for persons up to 700 lbs. heavier people can use the furniture, however we can't guarantee the product for people over 700 lbs. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Do you have a Financing program for your customers? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: We are currently working on a finance program with American General Finance and hope to have it in place soon. In the mean time we do take all major credit cards as well as a 12 month lay-away program. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: What is your best seller? And how much does it cost? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our best seller is our 504 sofa. All of our sofas are the same price. We offer about 15-20 different fabrics at the same price Jay of LargeInCharge.com: 999.00. The only to pay more for one our sofas is to get it made in leather. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Is your furniture sold in retail stores? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: No retail stores carry our WB line. At this time we have no plans to allow any retail stores to purchase our products. We are however, discussing the possibility of one of the large size clothing to add this line to their catalogues. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Can you customize the height of a chair? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Our 3 way stacking leg is designed so that every person can customize the height of their furniture seats. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Is it easy to get out of Wide Bodies Furniture? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: Any of our chairs will give our client equal ease of getting up from the furniture. The key to this comfort is in getting the correct seat foam density as well as the proper seating height from the floor. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Is leather the most comfortable fabric for plus size women? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: No I don't think that leather is the best covering for the plus sized client. What is the best is the micro fiber fabrics that we offer. These are the most popular fabrics on most furniture today. Micro fiber is almost bulletproof. Jay of LargeInCharge.com: Tell us about your different grades of leather? Mike of Wide Bodies Furniture: We only have different grades in the leather furniture that we sell. This grade alludes only to the grade of the leather used on the piece. As far as our whole line is concerned there is no piece made differently from another. They are all the same high quality. Out of the Dark

     The scent of his cologne fills my nostrils as I hug his pillow tightly. I miss him already and he left for work only a few minutes ago. Memories of last night flood my sleepy head and I can’t help but feel a schoolgirl’s giggle growing in my heart. He loves me. He loves all of me. He loves every roll of soft flesh and every pound of me.

     I remember the first time we made love and how terrified I was to undress in front of him. It seems silly now that I thought he would be disgusted. He wanted the lights on and I thought that surely he must be mad. It was so obvious that hidden beneath my clothing was not the picture perfect body. Yet he insisted that the lights remain on. Filled with fear of what his reaction might be, I turned my back to him and began taking off my blouse. At least that way he would not be subjected to viewing my belly with its rolls of fat and stretch marks from the pregnancy of my one and only child. “Turn around, and let me see you,” he demanded as I reached to unhook my bra.

     “This can’t be happening!” I thought. I finally find a man who I truly feel love for and he will surely leave when he sees all of me in the light. I’m sure he thought I was being coy when I replied, “You can see me.” My heart was racing.

     “Please, Angie, I want to see you,” he begged. Slowly I turned facing him, but with my head down looking at the floor. I could not bear to see the look of disgust that was sure to be on his face. I stood there topless in front of him nervously feeling the heat from every ray of light touching my body. Moments seemed like hours. Then I heard him say, “Ok, continue please…”

     In shock I glanced at his face and my eyes quickly returned to the floor before I realized there had been a smile there and not the look of disgust I expected. I forced myself to look again and there it was. He was leaned back on the bed smiling from ear to ear as his eyes moved back and forth over the skin I was exposing. I hesitated for a moment before acting on his suggestion, but found the courage to take off my jeans and panties. Again, my eyes returned to the floor. “That’s it,” I thought. “I’ll bet he regrets keeping the lights on now!” Then I heard the words I had longed to hear from the man who would steal my heart. It was so much better then the fantasy I imagined would never become real. “Oh my God, Angie, you are beautiful,” he said sincerely. Instantly, I felt my face burning from the awkwardness of the moment and the sheer excitement of realizing that no one had seen me so completely exposed by the light. Not even my former husband could claim that he saw me like this. My eyes rose from the floor to find him still smiling and gazing at me as if in awe and the steady movement of his hand over the growing bulge in his shorts said all else that needed to be said. I knew that instant that I may never feel so desirable again and I determined that I would enjoy every second of his adoring attention and let tomorrow bring what it would.

     I joined him on the bed where we made love for hours. Daybreak found me pleasantly exhausted and yet I willed myself to get out of bed to finally turn the overhead light off. I was not too tired to remember that I was still very much naked and I could feel his eyes watch my every move toward the switch and then back to the bed. As I slid under the sheet and found my place beside him, he rubbed my tummy and whispered, “You are the most beautiful, sexy woman I have ever known. Thank you for leaving the lights on.” And we fell fast asleep together.

     That was more than two years ago and I am amazed at how the intensity and excitement remains in us to this day and is alive in me this very morning. I think about how this man who would become my husband accepted and loved me completely and how his love and adoration has allowed me to grow and explore the person I had kept hidden in dark baggy clothing and in the shadows of darkness for so many years. The person I see in the mirror today is sexy, vibrant, and confident; such an amazing transformation from the bashful fat girl I once was. This new and improved woman has not shed a pound or an inch but rather has gained fresh insight, learning something new and beautiful about my size every day. My wide soft hips, my ample bosom, and my thick fleshy belly may never appear on the cover of Vogue, but he would gladly put my photo there in an instant. He said so just last night when taking pictures of me for my website. I wore red, his favorite color on me and I posed and danced and teased him as he snapped away through the shoot. “Show your fans that sexy yummy tummy, Baby,” he said. I lifted the red lace smiling as I rubbed my fingers across my stretch marked belly, “Like this?” I replied. I knew full well that he would have to end the shoot soon…I could see his excitement growing.

     I stretch and sigh. Gosh, I miss him; this man who did not settle for me. He chose me and he loves me. He loves all of me. He loves every roll of soft flesh and every pound of me…and these days, I do too.

Raqui: Well it sounds like your kids might be younger and not realize you cant ride with them. I would explain this and tell them the rides you can go on. Like the merry-go-round and a few selected ones you have to check your amusement park. There are many things you can do with your kids, water parks are great because they are size friendly. You might have to walk around a lot and climb some stairs to ride some of the tall rides. But in general it is great.	Jay: Going to amusement parks might be the only answer for having the fun your looking for. I personally have never heard of size friendly amusement park and can only say that this is one of those "have to create your own" situations. There probably won't be a size friendly amusement park until someone who cares creates one.
Q: Why do they think a big woman can't wear a bikini? Queen	Q: Jay, I have never heard of a FA before. I found out it means fat admirer, can you shed a little light on that for me? New to the Scene
Raqui: When you say they, I am guessing you mean society. This is an old question of body beauty. What society claims is beautiful. If fat women were what society viewed as beautiful then skinny women would be ashamed. But the truth is we can wear bikini's if we want to. Trying hitting some of the BBW Bashes you will see many women in bikini's.	Jay: Where the term came from...is still being researched and debated in the Big World. If anything, it's just a word to identify men who love Big Women and give us some pride about ourselves.

Raqui: If you think about the first forms that were ever painted they were bbw women. And they were naked. The fact is as long as there are people who will buy porn there will be those who do porn and other types of adult sites. It can provide quite a nice income for many women who have no other way to make money. I cant judge if it is right or wrong. But the basic principle is, if they demand it someone will supply it. That's business.	Jay: Adults have a choice...that's why it is the "Adult" BBW scene. "To each his own"! The word Distaste is personal. Some people might feel like your presence and existence...or just being a big woman might be distasteful. AND why "fight" to be a part of society when you already "are" a part of society. If the struggle is to be accepted as an "acceptable" part of society...that again.. that is personal. Bottom line...some adults like BBW porn!

Raqui: There are different ways to approach this subject. example: we got divorced because me and daddy cant get along. Instead of, He is a asshole who hit me. If a child can understand feelings you can tell them basic things. When my husband died my daughter was 6 years old. When I started to date again I wanted to talk to her about it. She told me, I know why mommy. Your lonely and you miss Chris. You want to have fun again. She already knew in her child mind it was time for me to move on.	Jay: No...I don't think its true. It's not a size thing. At bashes there are guys of all sizes. AND the scared ones are necessary...they leave more room for us FA's who know how to make it happen!

Raqui: One of the key differences between love and lust is dedication. When someone loves you they want to be dedicated to you and make love to only you. Lust is a physical connection, a enjoyment of bodies. Not a connection and dedication of lives. Many people think that lust is love. Lust is the attraction and yes love can come from that once the person sees who you are inside not just outside. That is where dedication comes in. If your not getting the dedication for a relationship. A true relationship in which people share lives. I'm sorry to say, the person likes to play with you, but doesn't want to buy you and keep you. Your just a toy. A diversion until the right one comes along.	Jay: It depends on who you hang around. Some big women enjoy FA's and realize it's a beautiful thing. They honestly just want to be happy. I think the women bashing men situation is a normal thing in today's society....we can't change the game! Just "treat her like a lady"...and do you!

the blessing all big people need.  It has a odor blocking formula

that REALLY WORKS. I have used this in the most sticky, wet humid

chafing your skin.  I used to switch between creams and powders

to prevent my skin from becoming dry. Especially under breasts

and belly.  Still I dealt with chafing and dryness that was

uncomfortable and painful at times.  With this powder I no longer
