It was my honor and great pleasure to speak at the SISTAZ
Reaching Out Seminar on June 18th of 2005. When I was
asked to speak, I felt not only a swelling in my heart but I
felt a great amount of responsibility to cover the subject
as best I could. Domestic Violence is something I know
a lot about and Recognizing the Signs of an abusive person
is something I have been talking about with women for a long
time. I cannot even begin to express the amount of
admiration I have for April Stanley the Founder of SISTAZ
Reaching Out (
www.sistazreachingout.com ) she has put together an
amazing organization with wonderful people who are trying to
give back to the community in the form of helping women,
children, teens, and families live a better life. For
her to have the confidence in me to speak at her seminar was
something that I am truly proud of. To be with
other eloquent speakers and persons who are really taking to
heart the art of giving back was a moment I will always
cherish.
